MUHAMMAD’S HEART BEING WASHED

12:18 PM

Once Muhammad accompanied his foster brother when he grazed the goats at the forest. # [ ]

“Once his foster – brother rushed back crying that two white dressed men caught Muhammad, made him lay down and tore his belly. Halima and her husband rushed to the spot crying loudly. He smiled as he saw Halima and narrated that two white dressed persons laid him down, took out his heart after tearing his chest and extracting a few drops of blood. Another person having cold water of snow in a vessel washed his heart with it and putting it back into his chest stitched it without causing any pain.” [ ]

“But Halimah found no trace of any injury or spot of blood. Having thought that the boy was affected by a jinn or something, she brought him to Makkah without loss of time and related the whole event to his mother.

But his mother instead of being afraid… spoke…that her son would achieve a very distinctive place in the world and would surely remain safe from calamities. She told that when he was in her womb, she heard many things from angels and noticed many uncommon happenings.

Imam Muslim reports from Anas bin Mâlik that one day when he was playing with boys of Makkah, Jibril (Gabriel) came to him, split his chest, took out a black drop from it and said:’It was the portion of Satan.’ Following that he washed his heart in a tray of gold with Zamzam water and then put it in its place.” {}

#Halima and her husband became anxious for his safety and took Muhammad back to his mother in Mecca.

Amna led him to meet her relatives in Medina (Yathrib) when he was six years old. On the return journey to Mecca, (~after a month~{ }) she fell ill at Abva’a (Abwa) and died. Umme Aiman, her maidservant handed him over to his grandfather Abdul Muttalib. When Muhammad became seven, his grandfather died. Before his death Abdul Muttalib placed Muhammad under the care of his son, Abu Talib. # [ ]
